Collaborative Piece
I did a collaborative piece with Justin during the studio hours today. I used the same technique as I did in the previous piece. Then he added a wash, my lunch (chili), and a torrent of creativity.
my initial thought was...'chili, that is disgusting, painting with grease essentially...' but the texture is incredible and has won my heart! I am also in love with the painting itself...the colors are gorgeous and you did such a lovely job taking accurate photos of the piece!
I think the angled shots work really well, especially with the shallow depth-of-field, and it depicts the texture of the painting very well.
I wonder if one could paint a very textured painting and then take an angled shot with the shallow DOF, and present that as the final piece as opposed to the painting itself. Hmm...
